What our residents are saying about The Haven..
"My daughter and I had visited only one and the next one was The Haven at Windermere. I said "This is It". ."
I have been a resident of The Haven at Windermere for the past twelve years. I have always believed in "special feelings" that I have experienced visiting schools, churches, etc. and in this case "Retirement Communities".
My daughter and I had visited only one and the next one was The Haven at Windermere. I said "This is It". After walking around and hearing the friendly chatter among the residents, staff and friends, I felt safe and secure and felt a sense of the end of my loneliness and insecurity. I had lost my husband two years earlier.
Now this is my home! I have a very comfortable apartment and a little dog named Bridget. We love the beautiful courtyards.
We have many activities to choose from, and we have fun together. We also have a choice to stay home and read, make phone calls, write letters or watch television.
I have made many wonderful friends. They are always in my heart and prayers. The caring staff is also in my heart and prayers.
The Haven at Windermere has made it possible for me to live this quote. "We did not change as we grew older we just became more clearly ourselves."
I have certainly become more clearly myself.
"If you are looking for independent or assisted living, we can honestly share with you that this is the place to call home.."
It is with great pleasure that my husband Ken and I write this letter in support of The Haven at Windermere. We have only lived here for two short years and while it is not like the home we had before, it is the place we refer to as "Home" now. The staff, employees and our NEW family (residents) are all friendly and very helpful. Our visiting family and friends are always impressed with the atmosphere here. If you are looking for independent or assisted living, we can honestly share with you that this is the place to call home..

"My family and I enjoy the peace of knowing that my needs are being met at this time in my life."
The Haven has been a wonderful place for me to call home. Before making the decision to move here I felt discouraged about how difficult my life was becoming and how isolated I was beginning to feel. Now I feel blessed because I am able to get the assistance that I need in this beautiful and safe place. I love the people who care for me, and I have wonderful friends here. The activities, outings and entertainment keep me active; and the transportation helps to keep me independent even though I no longer drive. My family and I enjoy the peace of knowing that my needs are being met at this time in my life.
